"He allegedly had been playing love machine, a game that surely makes heat rise", Cnet said.
The owner identified as Mr. Du, was playing the game while his phone was plugged into the wall. He says, he tossed the phone as soon the unit exploded, unfortunately for him, he tossed onto to his highly flammable sofa Which I guess wasn't the best idea. His decision cost him his house and his Mercedes.
The good news is Mr. Du and his wife escaped on time and only suffered minor injuries.
Well can this really be true? Many people are questioning Mr. Du's side of the story. Specially after he claims both battery and charger were legitimate Samsung products.
Samsung decided to assist with a full investigation, including a chemical analysis to determine whether the battery was genuine Samsung part. If the parts were Samsung parts the company will definitely work on that and fix it as soon as possible but if not they will also let us know and rebuilt their public trust in this matter.
