Our latest system breach came to the retailer store “Target”.
Recently Target system was hacked and many customers had their credit card information stolen. This one was a massive breach according to legal experts.
However, Target claims that though credits card number were stolen, it will be practically impossible to decrypt those numbers. They also claimed that no PIN data were ever stolen because from the time a customer enters his/her card’s PIN, it automatically goes in a different system.
If these entire claim by target about system’s security is true, it will be a first in a long while that a breach resulted in practically no gain. This is a good news for customers, because lately we have seen too many companies failing to prove their system’s reliability.
