The smartpen is basically a regular pen that has small Unix based chip attached to it powered by a AAA battery. It has two specific functions that are detecting and correcting misspelled words and single letter. Anytime there is an error, the pen will vibrate to let know.
The name of the device is Lernstift which means "learning pen" in German. So as you may have guessed right. This was the idea of two German engineers.
The device is set for testing later this year and will be available by next year. The selling price is supposed to be around 50-60€ depending on how fast the company may grow.
