Apple looking into "Smart Home"

Apple's initiative to get in the business of smart homes is really not a surprise. I would rather think it was just a matter of time before they make the move.

From Macamontreal.com
(besteknews.com)--Early today "Financial Times" came with this report that Apple is planning to get in the business of smart home. For those who may not know, a smart home is the concept of making any single piece of utility remotely addressable. This would include faucet water, laundry machine, lights, and eventually a home security systems.

As you may have already seen it before, several companies are already in this market and all of them have apps that run on the iOS system. So from a point of view, it may seem like apple will be competing with those companies. However, the main competitor that apple is likely targeting is Google.

Just about a week ago, Google has acquired a thermostat manufacturing company. Even thought no official announcement was made by Google, it is pretty clear that Google also wants its share in the home security market.

One thing is for sure, with WWDC2014 coming up next week, apple will definitely make the announcement to clear out our minds on what's really their plan. Keep in touch and we will provide you with the latest updates in this matter.
